Our returns promise
If you're not completely happy with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. We know buying clothes online can be tricky, especially when your body is changing — so we've designed our returns process to be as simple and stress-free as possible.
Items must be unworn, unwashed and in their original condition with all tags attached. We reserve the right to refuse returns that don't meet these conditions.
How to return
- Request a return: Email us at kate@zipusin.co.uk with your order number and reason for return.
- Pack your items: Place the unworn item(s) back in the original packaging with all tags attached. Reuse our compostable mailer if you can.
- Post it back: We'll send you a prepaid returns label (UK only). For international returns, you'll need to cover return postage — we recommend using a tracked service.
- Refund or exchange: Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund or send your exchange within 5 working days.
Exchanges
We offer free size exchanges on all Alternity products within the UK. If you need a different size, just follow the returns process and let us know what you'd like instead. We'll dispatch your new size as soon as we receive your return.
For international exchanges, the same process applies but return postage is the customer's responsibility.
Heritage collection
Zip Us In heritage items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty. This is because our remaining heritage stock is limited and sold at a reduced rate. Please check sizing carefully before ordering.
If your heritage item arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us immediately with photos and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.
Faulty items
All Alternity products are quality checked before dispatch. If your item arrives faulty or develops a manufacturing defect within 6 months of purchase, we'll repair, replace or refund it at no cost to you.
This guarantee covers stitching, zips, fabric defects and construction issues. It doesn't cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage or damage caused by incorrect washing or care.
Refund timings
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- We aim to process refunds within 5 working days of receiving your return
- It may take an additional 3–5 working days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider
